Cranberry Baby Diaper Bag Review

Cranberry Baby Diaper Bag

One thing you learn soon after you have a baby is, for as little of a person they are, they really require a lot of crap when you leave the house.  I was honestly very surprised how much stuff we had to take with us when we took Goose anywhere, and she was a breastfed baby!  I couldn’t imagine having to cart around formula, bottles, and water for formula fed babies.

I absolutely hated our diaper bag too.  It was so hard to find anything in.  The bag was deep, but really narrow. When Goose was about 3 months old, I ditched that one, and carried the backpack I used in high school.

Cranberry Baby Diaper Bag Review

Recently, I got to try the Cranberry Baby diaper bag.  I really do wish I had known about these diaper bags when Goose was born.  I love this bag.

First of all, I love that the bag comes with 4 pieces.  You have the main big bag, two smaller bags that could be used for a wet/dry bag or bottles.  You also have the changing pad. When Goose was a baby, I didn’t use a changing pad, just a blanket, only because I hated trying to pull the changing pad out and then trying to put it back in.  This one is a lot nicer than the one I had, and I think I would use this one.

Another thing I like on the Cranberry Baby diaper bag is the fact you have 8 pockets and two zipper pockets to hold all of the baby stuff.  The main compartment has a zipper too which is really nice, but I’ve not used it since I’ve been using this bag.

Cranberry Baby Diaper Bag Review

When you have a baby, it really matters how much stuff you can take with you.  In the Cranberry Baby diaper bag, I was able to put the following: 3 onsies NB pjs, 3 pairs of NB pans, 4 NB shirts, 9 hemp/microfiber diaper inserts, 4 prefolds, 4 cloth diapers, and ring sling. Plus the bags and changing pad that came with the diaper bag.  I was very impressed.  I probably could have fit more too if I had organized it a little better.

Overall, I have loved carrying this bag.  I have loved the super cute leopard print and leather accents.  I’ve actually been using it as a computer case to carry my 13″ laptop. It has worked great, and I have places inside the bag for the power cord and all the accessories.

If you would like to purchase your very own Cranberry Baby diaper bag, you can find them on Amazon.  The current price is $34 (PRIME!!!), which I think is less than what we paid for the crapy one that we had when Goose was born, and I like the Cranberry Baby one a ton better.

2 Mom and Baby Pure Vitamin D-3 Review

Vitamin d-3 review

I went to the doctor recently for just a regular check up, and while I was there, my blood pressure was taken, and it was extremely high. I’ve had a lot of stress in my life recently, and apparently it’s effecting my life more than I thought.

My doctor told me that along with some medication, I should start taking more vitamin D-3.  I had no clue that a vitamin D-3 deficiency would lead to hypertension and heart trouble. So I started researching- like I do pretty much everything-, and a vitamin D-3 deficiency can lead to A LOT more problems than I ever knew.

f49c081b44b9b1563d313ea6caddd2cfaf8122b7Since I found out about my high blood pressure, I started using Mom & Baby Pure Vitamin D-3.  It’s a liquid supplement that can be taken alone or in a drink.  One bottle will work for children and adults and contains over 2000 servings.

3be15541977d3ab9fba10c619410a60a0f382e73I, personally, really like that the only other ingredient in 2 Mom and Baby Pure D is MCT oil.  There is no flavors, dyes, or preservatives.  Also, 2 Mom and Baby Pure D does not contain any sugar, salt, starch, gluten, yeast, wheat, soy, milk, egg, shellfish, or nuts.  That alleviates a lot of worries for a lot of parents.

For infants and children Mom & Baby Pure D recommends that they get just one drop of the supplement once a day,  For those over 4, they recommend 2-3 drops.  However, you should always talk to your doctor or healthcare provider, I know my doctor said that I needed to take a little more, but your’s may say a little less.

If you would like to learn more about Mom & Baby Pure D, you can check them out on Amazon.  One 2oz bottle is currently $20 (PRIME!!!), but will last you quite a long time.

You can also enter to win your very own bottle of Mom & Baby Pure D.  You may use the form below and enter anytime between now and 4/26/15 at 11:59pm.

iPhone 6 Pink Leather Wallet Case Review

About a month ago, my mom got a brand new iPhone 6.  This was definitely not her first smart phone, but we know that with 4 grand kids running around, she better get a case right away.  The phone store she was at had a ton of cases, but she really didn’t care for any they had, and to be honest, the cases in the store were really very expensive.

I decided to get her a the pink leather wallet case by ShielderCases for her birthday.  At $25 (PRIME!!) I was a little worried that it would be cheap and would fall apart right away.  However, I have been proven wrong over the last month.  She has dropped the phone herself several times, and I know the grand kids has dropped the phone too, and this case has protected her iPhone very well, and held up really well.

One of the things my mom likes most about the ShielderCases wallet case is the wallet part of it.  She says that it is so much easier to put her id, debit card, and cash in the wallet case.  She also says that it makes one less thing she has to keep up with

Over all she and I are very pleased with the ShielderCases Pink Leather Wallet case.  The $25 that it is currently listed for right now on Amazon is well worth it.  If you are interested in purchasing your own Wallet case, you can do so on Amazon, the case comes in pink, brown, and black.  You can find them here:

Face Wash Recipe (Plus GoPure Coconut Oil and Avo Lavender Essential Oil Reviews)

For the past few years I’ve had a horrible time with breakouts and dryness on my face.  My PCOS hasn’t really been helping with this issue either.  I have tried face wash after face wash, and every retail product I tried, either made my face oilier or dried out the dry spots more.

Last year, I was at a fall festival and there was a local company there who had this really neat booth with all natural hairspray, soap, and face wash made out of all oil.  I was thinking there is no way this will work, but they convinced me to try it.  And low and behold, IT WORKED!!  My dry spots were hydrated and the oily places where cleaned. I couldn’t believe it.  When I ran out, I could not for the life of me remember the name of the company, so I decided to try to make my own.  So here is my recipe for my combination skin…

For a 4oz bottle:

2oz Castor oil

2(ish)oz Fractionated Coconut Oil From GoPure

15 drops of āVō Essentials Lavender Oil

15 drops of Peppermint Oil

15 drops of Spearmint Oil

15 drops of Lemon Grass Oil

Since the Fractionated Coconut oil is already a liquid just combined that and the castor oil with the essential oils (LOVE LOVE LOVE the Lavender oil from āVō Essentials) in a bowl, give it a quick mix and pour into a 4oz container.

To use, what I do is put like a quarter sized drop onto my hand in the shower, and rub onto my face.  When I am done with my shower, I use a washcloth and gently scrub the oil off.  When my face dries, it may still feel a little oily, but that my skin absorbs that quickly.

I use high quality pure oils, like the GoPure fractionated coconut oil and the āVō Essentials Lavender Oil, so that I am not adding more chemicals and irritants to my skin. I love the fractionated coconut oil for GoPure because I don’t have to melt anything and there is no smell, those are the only benefits that I’ve found with it.  I like the Lavender oil from āVō Essentials because it seems like the quality is a little better than some of the other lavender oils that I have used.

I honestly love trying these two products, even though it’s always to combined more than one product into a review post, I am glad I did with these two products.  They just go so well together.

If you are interested in purchasing either the 100% Pure Fractionated Coconut oil or the  āVō Essentials Lavender Oil you can find them at the links below.

The  āVō Essentials Lavender Oil can be found on Amazon (PRIME!!) and the GoPure Fractionated Coconut can be purchased on their website.

Blupure Countertop Water Filter Review

There has been a lot of press recently about how dirty tap water is, and it has a lot of people scared.  We have been using water filters for years, but I know I’ve heard a lot of people talking about it.  I’ve always kind of wondered about the things that are in water filters, or what might be left over once it goes through the filter. What drew me into the BluPure filter was two things;1) It is ecofriendly and 2) there were 13 stages in this filtration system.

The 13 stage filtration consists of the following filters:

  1. 5-micron filter pad
  2. KDF-55
  3. 5-micron filter pad
  4. catalytic carbon
  5. 5-micron filter pad
  6. G.A.C. (granular active carbon)
  7. 5-micron filter pad
  8. ion exchange resin (I.O.R.)
  9. 5-micron filter pad
  10. zeolite natural rock
  11. 5-micron filter pad
  12. calcite
  13. 0.5-micron carbon block

There are a ton of steps that water has to go through just to end up in your glass.  Almost everything that might have been in you water should be out by then including:

  • Chlorine
  • Cysts
  • Heavy Metals
    (mercury, iron, lead, etc.)
  • Herbicides
  • VOCs
  • Asbestos
  • Giardia
  • Arsenic
  • Bromide
  • PBCs
  • Bacteria
  • Protozoa
  • Radiation Particles
  • Medication Residue
  • Hydrogen Sulfide
  • Pesticides
  • Trihalomethanes
  • Cadmium
  • Petrochemicals
  • Sediment

That is a quite a bit of stuff. The water to me tastes so much cleaner, and it no longer has that chlorine taste. I am going to try to have the water tested soon, to see if a lab can tell the difference between a control sample and a sample of water that went through the filter.  Once I get the results I will post them.

There are a few problems I’ve had with the BluPure filter.  First of all, we have very high water pressure at out house, and that caused the BluPure filter to leak.  The leak was very slow, so I could never find where it came from.  BluPure sent me a replacement part, but before I went and tried to take the filter apart, I decided to try the filter at my mom’s house.  There it worked just fine.  The second issue we had was that since the filter hooks directly to the faucet, the water coming out of the faucet very slow.  That is just more annoying than anything, and I’m not really sure what is causing that issue.

Overall, barring any thing coming up on the lab report, I really do think that BluPure has come up with a very nice product.  I wish that I could use it at my house, however my mom and sister are really enjoying having it.

If you would like to purchase your very own BluPure water filter, you can do so on Amazon.  The current price is $85.95 (PRIME!!) and has 4.9 stars out of 5!  So, if you are looking for a filtration system that will remove almost everything in you water for a reasonable price, this is where you should look.

Hair Symphony Detangling and Soft Hair Brushes with Cosmetics Bag

When I was a kid, I was very very “tinder” headed.  I hated to have my hair brushed by anything other than my hair brush, which was one of those slicker hair brushes that don’t really brush you hair or get the tangles out.  I soon learned that if I wanted my hair long like I wanted, I was going to have to deal with the pain of brushing out my hair.

Detangling and Soft Hair Brushes with Cosmetics Bag Review

But, what if it didn’t have to be that way?  I know my daughter wants to keep her hair long.  So last year I found a detangling brush on Amazon, and instantly fell in love.  These brushes are so easy to use, and I know that I have reviewed another detangling hair brush in the past. When I saw that Hair Symphony was looking for people to write reviews, I wanted to review another brush of this style, so that Goose could help me demonstrate how easy the brush is to use.

Detangling and Soft Hair Brushes with CosmeticsBag ReviewYou may ask yourself, what is so special about the Hair Symphony detangling brush, aren’t they all the same?  Well, here is how it is different…

The pink detangling brush is specially designed by European top engineers alongside beauty experts with years of experience in hair care.

With its smooth rounded tip bristles it manages to successfully detangle any type of hair. It will not be a problem for either short or long, thick or thin, straight or curly hair. The alternate heights of the pins and the pattern at which they are placed work to glide through any tangles easily and without any pain. Don’t be fooled by the “cheap” imitations you may find online. Quality is essential for this brush to actually work. We have done several tests for the endurance and elasticity of the pins, and always updated the composition of the plastics used

Here is Goose showing how easy the Hair Symphony detangling brush is to use.

Hair Symphony Hair Brushes review

The Hair Symphony soft styling hair brush is really great too.  I love how the handle is nice and sturdy, and fits my hand really well.  I tend to gravitate toward this brush more than the detangling one, but they are both great!

Hair Symphony Hair Brushes

And to keep everything organized, Hair Symphony includes this awesome cosmetic bag to keep your awesome hair brushes.

If you are interested in purchasing a Hair Symphony hair brush set, you can find them on their website and Amazon.  The set right now is about $17.00 (PRIME!!!).

Best For My Pets Bully Sticks Review

Best for my pets

From food to toys, I am always trying to find better and better products for my dogs.  They are like my babies, and I always want what is best for them. Tobie and Bailie have been with us for a long time, and have been with us through some of the worst times in our lives.  Sophia just joined our family a few months after our sweet little Evie passed away last year.

Best for my pets

When I get the chance to review pet products, I always jump at the chance, because I want other pet parents to know what is good for their animals too.  So, recently my little 8 lbs Sophia got to review the Best for my Pets Bully Sticks.

Best for my petsWhen I first saw the bully sticks, I was worried that they would be too big for her, but as you can see she had no problem trapping that bully stick between her little paws, and going to town.

Bets for my pets

Sophia is the type of dog who really really likes to chew on toys and treats, so it normally only takes her two or three days to get through the Best for my Pets Bully Sticks, however, I never let her get down to the last few inches because I get afraid she will choke. Even though they are hard like bone, but soft enough to chew and digest, I just get worried something will happen when I’m not looking.

best for my petsYou can see that Sophia loves them, but you have to know that I love them, too!  They are so much better for my furbabies than the junk filled treats that they get a lot of times. The Best for my Pets Bully Sticks are 100% Natural.  They are chemical, gluten, and grain free.  Chewing on the Best for my Pets Bully Sticks promotes good oral health, is 100% digestible, and is high in protein, but low in fat!  There are so many awesome things I could say about the Best for my Pets Bully sticks, but the thing I love most is that they donate a portion of their purchases to help rescue animals.

If you are interested in purchasing some of the Best for My Pets Bully Sticks, you can find them on Amazon.  They come in 8oz packages and each stick is about 6″ long.

ErgoGrip Comfort Grip for iPads and Tablets Review and GIVEAWAY

ErgoGrip Review

You know, I LOVE my iPad Mini.  It’s so convenient for Goose to play with, and has fueled my reading addiction. The only problem that I’ve had with the iPad mini is it hurting my hand and wrist after reading for about an hour, and Goose seems to have trouble holding onto it sometimes too.

The ErgoGrip has become my iPad mini’s best friend. This little silicone rectangle has suction cups so that it sticks to your iPad or tablet giving you a more comfortable hold on the device.

SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURESI love the ErgoGrip because it is so easy to put on my iPad mini and to take off, but there are so many awesome features.  There are no adhesives, so you don’t have to worry about the ErgoGrip messing up your device.  The silicone is very soft, so even if you are going to be on your tablet for hours, the ErgoGrip is going to make sure you are comfortable.  They come in five different colors, so odds are, you could find one to fit your tastes. Also, the extra width of the ErgoGrip makes it easier for little hands to hold onto the tablet.

There is only one thing that I don’t like, and that really isn’t any fault of the ErgoGrip.  As you can see in the photo above, I have the ErgoGrip on the top of my iPad Mini (the short side).  If I wanted to use it on the long sides, it would block part of the screen.  So when using the ErgoGrip, I have to use my iPad mini in landscape mode.  Not a big deal most of the time, though can be annoying.  Like I said, this is not the fault of the ErgoGrip, it is, frankly, a drawback to the size of the iPad Mini.

Overall, I am very pleased with my ErgoGrip, and plan to keep using for quite some time.

If you would like to purchase your very own ErgoGrip, you can find them on Amazon. Right now, they are $8.99 (PRIME!!!), so if you plan on getting one, I would head over to Amazon soon, and pick one up; the ErgoGrip is well worth the price.

You can also enter to try and win an ErgoGrip.  You can enter any time between now and 3/2/15 at 11:59pm

Snowy Day Fun Our Preschooler (Plus Review)

glow stick review

Over the past two weeks, we have had 5 winter storms. Yes, I said five!  Everytime the snow starts to melt a little, a freeze comes and it turns into another layer or ice!  In fact, as I write this post, we are supposed to be getting like another 3-5″ of snow.  That may not sound like a lot to some of you who get feet and feet of snow, but for the south, that is a lot of snow since we are not used to it.

Goose is starting to get a little cabin fever.  Dance has been cancelled, we haven’t been able to see family members like we normally do on the weekends, and she hasn’t been able to see any of her friends.  So, we had to come up with something to do.

This year is the first year that I felt comfortable with her riding on a sled, and we have a perfect place for her to ride the sled this year. So she took a few ride down the yard on the sled, but soon got tired on it since she (as she says) “couldn’t steer that thing”.

Michael and Nora built a really cute snowman, and I decided to up the cuteness, and put some really great glow sticks that I got from Amazon for the the eyes and mouth.  It was so funny, the people driving down the road got so confused when they came upon it.  We made it so that it wouldn’t be too much of a distraction, but it was noticeable once night fell.

Another thing we tried was coloring and measuring the snow.  Goose loved that, and I even got a quick fun lesson in on how the color dilutes when you add more snow.  I think she was just having fun coloring snow and slicing through it with the ruler.

We also tried to make snow bricks and a snow castle, but I think our snow was just too dry this time, and the bricks and the castle kept falling apart. It was fun to try though.

Glow Sticks bath time fun

When we came in from playing in the snow, Goose was cold and wet, so she went straight into the bath.  I surprised her by putting a handful of the same glow sticks we used for the snowman in there with her, and turned out the light.  She had so much fun, and she stayed in the bath until the water went cold!

The past few days, she has had some fun but we are looking forward to being able to drive around town again and seeing all of her dance friends.  I love the snow, but I think spring would be welcome too at this point.

If you are wondering where I got all of those glow sticks, well like I said, I got them on Amazon.  The company that sells them sent them to me to review, but honestly, they were a great price (about 13¢ a stick), and probably would have bought them anyway. The glow sticks are non-toxic and CPSIA compliant.  They come in a pack of 100 8″ long sticks, and have the connectors so that you can make bracelets, necklaces, glasses, or whatever your imagination can come up with. They are a one time use type thing, so I do feel wasteful using them a lot since they can’t be recycled.  So I limit the amount that Gosse uses (other than the bath I guess) so we can cut back on that waste, sort of a compromise.

I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings for the snow, and if we can come up with some more fun activities for it. Disclaimer Review reviewOn of my favorite pass times is capturing Goose’s childhood through photos. I have personally taken THOUSANDS of pictures of her.  I have so many now that I’ve started to search for ways of displaying a select few in actual print.

A few months ago, I was contacted by about doing a review. I immediately went to their site to see what kinds of things they do.  I saw some of the most beautiful prints of paintings and photos.  Normally, those are not really my thing, and I was about to decline, but then I saw that they would do custom photo prints!!!  I was extremely excited.

So I set off to deciding which picture I wanted from the THOUSANDS of photos I have of Goose.  Let me tell you it was not an easy decision!

Baby Marohn's photoThere were so many choices to make.  First I had to decide which photo I wanted. I decided on a picture I took of Goose using my Samsung point and shoot camera.  I figured it would show me how good a quality the print is when it gets here since this camera is far from anything fancy.

Then I had to choose what style I wanted. has plain canvas prints with not a lot of other options.

Museum wrap canvas with quite a few choices to make

Gallery wrap canvas with only a couple of options

Framed Canvas with lots and lots of frame styles to choose from

That’s not including all the mat and glazing options you can choose from.

So after a few hours (yes I am one of those indecisive people who spend hours trying to make one decision that should be super simple…you should see how long it actually takes me to write one blog post haha). I decided on the 20.88 x 16.88 inches Framed Photo Print, Tuscan Rustic Walnut frame, Top Mat Haze, and Non-Glare Acrylic Plexiglass.

When I got my tracking number, I was doing my own little happy dance.  I checked the number severl times a day to see where my package was. It was so frustrating to have to wait.  This is where I have to say I was very disappointed, not in, but in UPS and USPS.  The package was sent “Smart Post” so once it arrived in my city, it was transfered to my local post office for delivery.  Somewhere between UPS and USPS, my beautiful photo was misplaced!! I was so upset. made it right though.  I was impressed with their customer service reps, and how quickly they responded to my emails about the shipping.  In no time, another print was on it’s way to my house.

Last week, my framed photo print finally made it’s appearance.  It was obvious that takes pride in their work. My order was packaged perfectly and safely.  It actually took quite a bit of effort for Goose and I to unpackage it.  It was like Christmas morning for Goose and I, we could not get the print out fast enough.

Fulcrum Gallery Review beforeafter

Upon getting all the packing material off I was very very impressed with how close to what I ordered my actual print was. The only noticeable difference to me was the color of the mat. The mat on what I ordered was a tad bit darker, but again that may just be my computer screen resolution. I am very happy with the matting, and it turns out to be the perfect color.

Fulcrum Gallery Frame reviewI am very impressed with’s work. The frame is beautiful.  To me, it is very obvious that this is NOT a cheap frame.  It is a nice thick piece, and feels very solid.

Fulcrum Gallery ReviewWhen I turned over the print, I noticed that even the custom framers stand behind behind their work by signing the back of each framed print they do.  Out of all the prints I’ve had made, this is the first time I’ve seen the framers stand behind their work.

fulcrum galleryI have to say that I was very worried about how clear the photo itself would be.  Like I said before, I just used a regular point and shoot camera.  It is 14 megapixels, but that in no way put my mind at ease. If you look really really close, you can kind of see that the image is not 100% clear, but truthfully, no one is going to be looking that close to that photo.  If I had used a DSLR or a more professional camera, I would have expected more.  However, that was not the case, and the photo quality is really what I expected.

Overall, I am very impressed with’s work and professionalism.  I was very happy that I was able to experience their customer service first hand, because they were just plain awesome.  I will be proud to display their work in my home for years to come.

If you would like to purchase your very own custom print from, head on over to  They have high quality designs that would fit in anyone’s home. The framed photo I received would have cost around $60, but believe me, when I say I am not a bit disappointed in the craftsmanship. is also on the following social networks if you would like to connect with them:
