This is the second pair of silicone heat resistant gloves that we have used. The best part about the AYL silicone gloves is how heat resistance they are. You take hold things that are hotter and for a longer duration than a cloth glove. They also have a nice texture so that it is easier to grab hold and hold onto things. Since it is silicone you don’t have to worry about hot water seeping in through the gloves or getting them stained. Most of the time if you get any thing on them you can just run them under some water. Another thing that we have noticed is that the silicone gloves do not wear as easily so you don’t have to worry about getting holes.

These AYL silicone gloves do work great for BBQ as well, I like that they are water proof so that if you set them down you don’t have worry about them absorbing water. Another advantage of silicone is that they don’t stay hot after handling hot items. With a lot of thicker cloth gloves they usually end up having wet spots or variations in the heat resistance. Since you don’t wash silicone gloves like cloth gloves you don’t have to worry about the fabric getting bunched up in different places.

If you have never owned a pair of silicone gloves, and you enjoy cooking you should do yourself a favor and pick up a pair of AYL silicone gloves on Amazon (Currently $19.99)or from a local retailer. They cost a little bit more than cloth gloves, but last a lot longer and are much more enjoyable.
